Remodelling
At Marshalls, we understand that jewellery can be very personal. But fashions and trends change over time, so a hugely sentimental piece of jewellery might not be in keeping with your style or taste anymore. This is where we can help, by remodelling your jewellery into something you love again. You might have a design in mind, or we can give you some inspiration with photos of our previous work.
Below are some before and after photos of previous remodelling jobs that we have carried out.
If you have jewellery that you would like remodelled, book an appointment by calling 01837 65001.
Ruby & Diamond Dress Ring
We transformed this rather dated ruby and diamond cluster into a stunning, modern dress ring. Allowing the stones more room to breathe really shows them off to their full potential. Setting the rubies in 18ct yellow gold also brings out the warmth in the stones, beautifully contrasting the coolness of the diamond which is set in platinum to reflect this. Completely hand-made in our workshop by Alan. This ring really shows how changing a style can really bring out the best in a piece.
Diamond Dress Ring
An impressive piece.
This ring was made from a collection of very sentimental jewellery that our customer wanted to be made into one piece in memory of their loved one.
The difference in stone sizes presented a challenge, but a random scatter design was agreed upon. The ring was completely hand-made by Alan. The diamonds are set in platinum to enhance their white colour with a beautifully contrasting 18ct yellow gold shank. The result is something truly wonderful.
Diamond Half-Eternity Ring
We took stones from these very sentimental rings and made them more wearable for our customer.
The old rings were very metal-heavy, and our customer desired something more elegant. So we created this beautiful grain set half-eternity ring. Reducing the amount of metal made the stones the center of attention. Ashley hand-carved the diamond settings from a 9ct white gold wedding band. The white gold really shows off the diamonds to their full potential and gives a more modern feel to the ring.
Here are some step-by-step photos from when we turned this diamond ring into a double halo pendant. We used the stones from the ring's shoulders to create the second halo and supplied a platinum chain to complete the piece.
